BARACK OBAMA has set the stage for his post-presidential career by gearing up for lucrative speaking gigs and a book deal following his exit from the White House.
The former President, along with wife Michelle, have selected the Harry Walker Agency to set them up on the highly-profitable speaking circuit.
The couple have also hired top attorneys Robert Barnett and Deneen Howell to manage publishing deals for their respective books, according to their spokesman Kevin Lewis.
In a statement, Mr Lewis said: “President Barack Obama and Mrs Obama have selected the Harry Walker Agency to coordinate their respective speaking engagements.
“In addition, attorneys Robert Barnett and Deneen Howell will manage contract negotiations with potential publishers for the former President and Mrs Obama’s respective books.
It is currently unknown when the Obamas will begin the speaking circuit or when any books might be published.
